COMPING: open chords

The open chords are the first chords the beginner is going to learn. The "grid" represent the finger board, It's the front view to the finger board. The numbers mean the fingers:

  • 1 = forefinger
  • 2 = middlefinger
  • 3 = ring finger
  • 4 = little finger
  • "x" means, the marked string will not be played
  • "o" means, the marked string will be played without holding a fret
