Here is an overview of all notes of the C major scale. These are only those which do not have accidentals (sharps or flats).
Because of the structure of the semitones between E and F and B and C you get a recognizable pattern which is easier to memorize.
When the other notes are needed it is very simple to get them according to their main notes:
- Notes with #: One fret higher
- Notes with b: One fret lower
Important:
- higher is always the direction to the bridge (higher fret numbers)
- lower is always the direction to the nut (lower fret numbers).
