K&M KÖNIG & MEYER: about us

The name König & Meyer has stood for sophisticated and original music accessories for more than 60 years. König & Meyer was founded by Karl König and Erich Meyer in 1949. In those days ten employees built the music stands and measuring equipment, whereas today about 260 employees working in workshop space of 15,000 m² produce a wide range of music stands, instrument stands, microphone speaker and lighting stands, keyboard stands, drum seats and 19” and multimedia equipment. K&M is also a supplier to the medical, office and leisure industries. From first design to final finish, König & Meyer is an in-house production company, additionally offering diverse surface processing services such as galvanizing and electrostatic powder coating (RAL colours) on commission. In 2006 König & Meyer introduced a modern laser plant to manufacture a range of tubing elements in one swift and flexible work process without additional tool costs, thus opening up a new dimension in production for the company.  

Approximately 1500 K&M products are sold in 80 countries across the world today. Almost 60 % of production is exported.  

König & Meyer has had DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 quality system certification since 2009.  

In addition to a focus on quality and customer service, environment protection is one of our company’s primary considerations and, as such, König & Meyer uses closed water circuits, effective cleaning and recovery systems and solvent-free powder paints. The company is certified as per ISO 14001 and the European Environmental Management and Audit Scheme.  

In a bid to promote new artists and a productive exchange between musician and manufacturer, König & Meyer supports several bands including "Silbermond", "Die Söhne Mannheims", "Reamon", as well as many other music projects and classic events in the region.  

König & Meyer’s loyalty to its home base of Germany, the high quality and reliability of its products and an environmentally-aware production system are strengths which have firmly established the company in the international market.
